The giant claws were originally thought to be the ribs of a turtle. Known only from forelimbs forelimbs and part of hindlimbs and a few ribs, the aspect of this animal remain quite mysterious until the discovery of related genera with more complete specimens. It was herbivorous and could have been described as a dinosaurian sloth.
