This unusual small antelope-like creature had two straight horns above the eyes and a single curved horn on the back of its head. The imperfectly known larger species C. unicornis is based on a single fragmentary back (occipital) horn and fragmentary remains from Nebraska and California were assigned to the species. The smaller species, C. teres has been found in New Mexico, Texas, South Dakota and California.
