Type Horizon and Locality: Early Devonian, Xishancun Formation (Lochkovian), Yunnan Province, China
Type Specimen: Holotype (headshield)
This species is from the Early Devonian of the Yunnan province of China. Galeaspids were peculiar freshwater jawless fish that are only found in South-East Asia.
