Size: 1.5 m long
Type Horizon and Locality: Early Permian, Meisenheim Formation, Lower Rotliegend (Asselian) Saarland, Germany
Type Specimen: MB.Am.166 a & b, part and counterpart of a fragmentary skull (neotypes)
This croc-like amphibian is known from hundreds of specimen of various sizes. It was a fully aquatic animal.
