Type Horizon and Locality: Late Jurassic, Tiaojishan Formation (Oxfordian), Daxishan fossil site, Jianchang county, Liaoning Province, China
Type Specimen: BMNH 2940, almost complete articulated skeleton with fur impression.
This Haramyid is the earliest example of gliders among early mammals. It lived around 160 millions years ago in a world dominated by dinosaurs.
