Size: 6.5 m long
Type Horizon and Locality: Late Cretaceous, Tierra Loma Shale Member, Moreno Formation (Maastrichtian), Panoche Hills, Fresno County, California, US
Type Specimen: LACM 2759, a partial skull
This mosasaur shows a high degree of convergent evolution with Tylosaurus, but is more closely related to Prognathodon. It is known from cranial materials, showing a robust and elongated skull.
