First described in 1974 as a feathered biped and potential ancestor of birds, the claim never received much attention. Subsequent analysis by various authors found no evidence of close relationship with birds of of feather-like soft tissue preservation. The unique specimen is today considered to be a juvenile form of protorosaur.
