Type Horizon and Locality: Middle Eocene, Bruxelles Sands Member, Bruxelles Formation (Lutetian), Belgium
Type Specimen: IRSNB 1687/R.4
Synonyms: Emys camperi, Lytoloma camperi
This modern looking sea turtle has been found in Belgium, England and Morocco, as well as in the other side of the Atlantic in Maryland and Virginia.
