Type Horizon and Locality: Early Devonian, Dictyocaris member, Cowie Formation (Lochkovian), Cowie Harbour, Stonehaven, Scotland, UK
Type Specimen: NMS 1991.48.1
This unusually shaped deep bodied anaspid (a group of jawless fish) was described only in 2008 from three specimens found in Earliest Devonian rocks of Scotland. Originally thought to be Middle Silurian.
